Swans Encaustic Damar Medium is mixed here at our shop. We try to keep our inventory fully stocked but at times we do run out quickly. Good thing we mix it here! Our Encautic Damar Medium is 85% White naturally refined beeswax & 15% Natural Damar resin crystals. Swans Encaustic Damar Medium is filtered & available in many different sizes. Encaustic Damar Medium is one of the most durable mediums and blends easily with pigments & other waxes. Other waxes or additives are not required only optional. Damar can be added in various proportions for different textures, appearance & usage. 10 Lbs comes in 10, 1 lb blocks. Call for larger quantity deals and custom recipes.

Swans Encaustic Carnauba medium is made with our Naturally filtered yellow beeswax & our Carnauba #1 flakes. Encaustic Carnauba medium works great as a hardner. Carnauba is added to beeswax for many different usages in polishes, cosmetics, cutlers resin & Candies. Carnauba does yellow the beeswax a bit. Encaustic Carnauba Medium is available in many sizes. All Natural White Beeswax, refined in the USA without any chemical bleaching aids. Our White Beeswax conforms to the USP/NF monograph and is suitable for pharmaceutical as well as all food, cosmetic and all personal care product applications. This Beeswax is quite fragrant and has a typical slightly off-white color. This product is finished in a fine prill form for easy handling and faster processing. Works well for cosmetics, encaustic art, Batik, candle making and many other uses.

Pure yellow beeswax with a fine aroma, works well in candle making, batik and encaustic art to name a few uses. We now get our Yellow beeswax from the same source as our popular white Beeswax. The consistancy will stay the same and it has a really nice bouquet and bright color.

Natural Damar Resin Crystals work great for encaustic art medium blends. Damar can be added in various proportions for different textures, appearance & usage.

Multiwax W-445 Microcrystalline Wax(Tacky Wax) CTFA listed and compliant with FDA 21 CFR 172.886 and 178.3710, requirements for food grade waxes. 174/180 MP Multiwax® W-445 is a white, highly refined, high molecular weight microcrystalline petroleum wax. It consists of saturated branched and cyclic non-polar hydrocarbons. It is hydrophobic, tasteless, odorless and has excellent UV & color stability. It is high melting point, hard, flexible and has excellent cohesive and adhesive properties. Multiwax W-445 is a Microcrystalline Wax NF meeting requirements for NF (current version) and FDA requirements as per 21 CFR 172.886 and 21 CFR 178.3710. Microcrystalline waxes consist of odorless, tasteless, non-polar hydrocarbons with relatively high melting points. Microcrystalline waxes act as bases for chewing gum, lipstick, cold creams and ointments. Other uses include Batik, wax impregnated paper, film, foil, and corrugated board for food packaging. Other products such as crayons, candles and caulk to sealants and fine polishes start with microcrystalline wax.

Brazilian Carnauba #1 wax flakes. Carnauba wax can produce a glossy finish and as such is used in automobile waxes, shoe polishes, food products such as sweets, instrument polishes, and floor and furniture waxes and polishes, especially when mixed with beeswax and with turpentine.

Candelilla wax flakes, It is mostly used mixed with other waxes to harden them without raising their melting point. As a food additive, candelilla wax has the E number E 902 and is used as a glazing agent. It also finds use in cosmetic industry, as a component of lip balms and lotion bars. One of its major uses was a binder for chewing gums. Candelilla wax can be used as a substitute for carnauba wax and beeswax. It is also used for making varnish.

Brazilian Gum Rosin is incredibly light and refreshing and when burned, releases a most exquisite scent. It is a derivative from “Pinus Elliotis” Also used as a tactifying agent, pine pitch and many other uses.

Swans Impasto wax is made from the finest white beeswax and pure translucent white microcrystalline. Makes the perfect base to add actual dimension to encaustic painting. This comes in a 1 pound block.
