This Beeswax is quite fragrant and has a typical slightly off-white color. This product is finished in a fine prill (Granules) form for easy handling and faster processing. PRODUCT REGULATORY DATASHEET Section 1 - Product Information White Wax NF, White Beeswax, Yellow Beeswax, Beeswax Scope: To provide complete product portfolio to our users including regulatory and manufacturing information. The honey bee, Apis Mellifera, secretes Beeswax to build a hexagonal cell in which honey is stored. Great care is taken by the beekeeper to maintain and not harm his bees while harvesting the crude wax. Beeswax is offered in mechanically molded slabs, cakes and pastilles (pellets). It is compatible with most animal, vegetable and mineral waxes and a large variety of natural and synthetic resins. Section 2 - Manufacturing. All of our Beeswax is produced at this site. The product can also be obtained through our network of distributors throughout the world. Manufacturers Quality System is modeled after ISO-9001 and we have incorporated practices from IPEC Good Manufacturing Practices Guidelines for Bulk Excipient Manufactures. Manufacturers does not employ irradiation or ethylene oxide sterilization in any part of our facility nor do we purchase ETO sterilized ingredients. Every finished product is designated a unique batch number sequentially assigned with the suffix 7XX" indicating the year in which it was manufactured. The unique batch number combined with batch sheets allows for full traceability of each raw ingredient. Section 4 - Regulatory Information The Manufacturer fully tests our Beeswax, NF to the White or Yellow Wax NF monograph. If tested, our Beeswax, NF will conform to the EP, BP and JP monographs. Since 1904, the creation date of the company, Manufacturer has never performed and does not intend to perform any animal testing for Cosmetic purposes or other purposes. Beeswax is approved for end use under regulation 21CFR 184.1973 and is CTFA listed Beeswax is GRAS listed Manufacturers beeswax does not contain any preservatives. Worldwide Registration Status: Beeswax has no know restrictions of use BSE/TSE Information: Our Beeswax is BSE/TSE free Allergens/Hypersensitivities: Manufacturers Beeswaxes do not contain known allergens or gluten. GMO Information: Manufacturers products are GMO free Residual Solvents: manufactures Beeswax without the use of Class 1, 2, or 3 solvents and there is no potential for Class 1, 2, or 3 residual solvents to be present in the manufacturing process. There is no potential for any other solvent to be present in our beeswaxes. Kosher status: Kosher Beeswax is certified by Kosher Technical Konsultants. Elemental Impurities Preliminary results show that our Beeswaxes are none detected for Mercury, Lead, Cadmium, and Arsenic. Biocides: As a result of our risk assessment, we have found that no chloramphenicol or Nitrofuran derivatives have been detected in our Beeswaxes. Revision 2 September 2011 2 of 3 Proposition 65: Beeswax does not contain any chemicals listed. Nutritional Content: Waxes, in general, are indigestible and therefore have no nutritional value. Microbial Content: Waxes, in general, do not support microbial growth Manufacturer does not perform microbial testing but we can reasonably state that microbes should not be present in our waxes. Impurities: Based on the knowledge of the origin of our wax and the manufacturing process, we do not expect to find any trace levels of Formaldehyde, Dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), Alcohol, Halogenated Organic compounds, Aluminum, Nitrates, Preservatives, sulfates, dyes, mineral oil, petroleum, or phthalates. Section 5 - Miscellaneous Product Information Beeswax has a retest date of 3 years. Beeswax is a naturally occurring material and can be considered biodegradable.
