About Swans Candles

I am Pete Davis and I own Swans Candles in Lakewood Washington, my Mother is my Partner. We have been in business since 1973 and stock everything we sell. Swans candles and candle making supplies is a family owned business located in Lakewood, Washington that prides itself in its attention to customer service and satisfaction. We are about 1 mile from Interstate 5 and State Route 512 and McChord AFB, very easy access to both freeways. The store opened in 1973 in it's present location and has expanded to over 4000 square feet of space. We have a walk-in store and are a full service internet store. We ship worldwide and try and have most orders out within 24 hours. We can use ship forwarders for Alaska and Hawaii and are close to many docks, call for quotes. We are distrubutors for many manufacturers and therefore can offer warehouse pricing on many items. Many of the Items we sell are exclusive to Swans Candles and we are planning to open up more stores in different locations in time. We have customers in all 50 states and around the World and do not have handling fees on our shipping. We are hoping to be able to distribute our Paraffin and Soy products from Germany in the near future for our customers in Europe. My mother and I are partners and we are striving to become the candle makers supply house for the West Coast. We can meet your needs from the hobbiest to the large Manufacturer and can even have pallets custom made to your specs with all your additives already added. We can provide Paraffin and natural candle waxes from a slab to a heated rail car, no matter what your needs. We will soon be carrying Coconut oil wax and Olive oil wax and will be expanding into other all natural waxes. We are also proud members of the Internation Guild of Candle Artisans

I have a question. I am a novice at candlemaking and I am very excited about the possibilities of making beautiful candles. I tried making some small candles that required using soy wax and silicone baking molds. The problem is the wicks do not stay put in the silicone molds. Is there something I can do to rectify that? Thanks for any help.

    • You could make the candles without the wick then drill an 1/8″ hole in candle and push wick in from bottom of candle. If this doesn’t help give Renee a call at 888-848-7926
